NFL preview

While we don't spend as many thoughts or hours reading and discussing the NFL, it's here. Instead of a full-blown preview, we'll just share a few thoughts on the upcoming season.

- How is John Kitna still in the NFL? Again, Matt Millen has a real eye for talent.

- I think the Patriots have become the New York Yankees of the NFL. Signing used up players with all-star name potential. After the Yankees started buying everyone they stopped winning championships...i hope the same is the case with the evil patriots, emperor Billichick, and their bastard children in L.A., They become the most obnoxious franchise since the 1989 Detroit Pistons

- Ladanian Tomlison is a fantasy football dream, Norv Turner is football fan's nightmare. Can all of San Diego's talent overcome his incompetance?

- Rex Grossman is still with the bears...unbelievable, yet their division is pathetic.

- Larry Johnson will be so overused that he will retire or die by the end of the season.

- The Raiders sign Michael Vick in October after starting 0-6, there is a huge protest just across the rainbow bay.

- Eli Manning must take his game to the next level, Donnovan McNabb needs to play one season w/o getting hurt, Tony Romo needs to be consistent, and the Washington Redskins just need some talent.

- Bobby Petrino watches Louiville go undefeated and Brian Brohm throw 50 touchdowns, while he tries to win with Joey Harringon and no WR's. To boost team spirit, Fans suggest the team wear gold chains on their uniforms. Each day he walks to his office, "What the Hell was I thinking coming to the ATL?"



- Carolina wins 3 in a row, loses 4 in a row, wins 3 in a row, loses 5 in a row. And then they realize that Jake Delhome is their QB...oops

As for last night, was that the NFL season opener or the Peyton Manning show? Good commercials but come one....but then he threw 3 TD's and it seemed OK. Don't worry Brian, Saints will be OK i think. Think Vick saw the game last night??
